Teaching

Teaching is one of my favorite things about philosophy!

At UC Santa Cruz, I have taught:

  • Contemporary Moral Issues (Phil 24), a large lecture/ introductory course focused on pressing moral and social issues. In Winter 2025, I included units on the ethics of immigration, climate change, and war and conflict.

  • Ethics and Technology (Humn 15), a lower-level course focused on moral questions related to AI and Emerging Technologies.

  • A graduate seminar on “Race, Law, and Justice”

Before joining the Santa Cruz faculty, I taught number of introductory courses, as well as upper level courses in Philosophy of Law, Public Health Ethics, and Philosophy of Art.

Here are some of my syllabai— feel free to use them as you wish!
